AFRAID (2024) - Too Long; Didn't Watch - Nightmare on Film Street

We were supposed to review 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple but thanks to a stupid blizzard and scary road conditions, we’re launching our new mini-series “Too Long; Didn’t Watch” where we only watch the 1st act of a movie we previously skipped (because it looked too predictable) and do our best to guess how the movie ends.

We’ve all complained that modern horror movies are too formulaic and that Hollywood is out of original ideas, endlessly reusing overworked plots or spoon-feeding us copy+paste stories. So, rather than spend what precious little time we have left, we’re only allowing ourselves to see the first 30(ish) minutes of a movie before sitting down to record, placing bets on what we think the big twists & turns will be before finding out how accurately we predicted those familiar beats by reading through the Wikipedia synopsis.
