The Mummy'S Hand (1940) - Lobby Card

[Podcast] Graveyard Smash: THE MUMMY’S HAND (1940) – Fiend Club Exclusive

The Mummy (well, maybe not “The” Mummy, but a Mummy nonetheless) Returns! Join your horror hosts Kim & Jon as they lift the lid on the tomb of Kharis and summon the eternal spirit of The Mummy’s Hand (1940), the long-awaited sequel to the Universal Monsters Classic The Mummy (1932) and, arguably, the bigger inspiration behind the 1999 masterpiece we all know and love.

The Mummy is one of the least mobile monsters in the Universal lineup. While your average monster is roaming the countryside or taking boat rides across oceans of time, The Mummy mostly hangs out in the outskirts of Cairo. This Mummy in particular is a gooey, murderous, lovelorn junky, and caught in the middle of his sand swept slay-cation is a group of fast-talking, unsuspecting Americans archeologists who’ve dig up more than they bargained for…

Will they make it out of Cairo alive? Will they uncover the high priest’s dastardly plot? Will The Mummy ever get to kiss his Mummy girlfriend??? Join usssss
