E8 Expressway, Malaysia: The Phantom Menace

Our journey continues in Malaysia on the E8 Expressway, also known as the Karak Highway. This notorious stretch between Kuala Lumpur and Karak is infamous for its phantom vehicles and spectral figures. The most infamous of these apparitions is a phantom yellow Volkswagen that appears out of nowhere and attempts to run other vehicles off the road, appearing next to cars it ‘likes’ with no one behind the wheel!

The wife, left alone in the car, was awoken by the sound of thumping. When a police car arrived, the officers instructed her to get out of the car and walk towards them without looking back. Overcome by curiosity, she turned to look and saw a monstrous creature on the roof of her car, banging her husband’s head on the roof. Boy Scout Lane, USA: The Lost Patrol

As we circle back to the United States, we find ourselves on Boy Scout Lane in Wisconsin. This dead-end road is the setting for one of the most tragic ghost stories. Legend has it that a troop of Boy Scouts died on this road, and their spirits now haunt the area. Reports of disembodied laughter, phantom campfires, and ghostly figures have made Boy Scout Lane a chilling destination for ghost hunters.

The road itself is named after the local legend of a troop of Boy Scouts who were allegedly killed while on a camping trip in the 1950s. While there are various versions of the story, all agree on the tragic end of the troop. Some say the boys were brutally murdered by a bus driver, while others suggest they wandered off and were killed by a predator. Another version alleges that one scout dropped a kerosene lantern, causing a fire that killed all of the boys.

People who have dared to venture down this road have reported seeing lights in the trees, which they believe are lanterns of someone looking for the boys. Many have reported the unsettling feeling of being watched. Others have found children’s handprints on their vehicles, and some have even heard children laughing. Whether these accounts are true or the product of overworked imaginations is up for debate. Nevertheless, the chilling tales and the road’s eerie atmosphere have made Boy Scout Lane a must-visit for any fan of the paranormal.
